Historical Honors
AFC Player named The KC Star's 2004 Scholar-Athlete
Larry Hall who played soccer for Avellino FC for 4 years was voted Kansas City's Scholar-Athlete of the year by the KC Star. Hall earned 12 varsity letters, participating in soccer, baseball, basketball and football. He was as well-rounded off the field as he was on it.He's third in grade point average in a class of 134, was an Eagle Scout, was elected student body president and played in the school band. The KC Star paid tribute to Hall who was Goalkeeper for the Avellino FC 84/85 team coached by Huw Savage.Danny Kuhn of Raytown South High School who currently plays soccer for Avellino FC Italia 85/86 was also nominated for this prestigious award. Both players are great lads who have been with Avellino FC for several years, good luck and well done to the both of you. -
